With 266 three-thousand metre peaks and 342 glaciers, nature plays an outstanding role in the 20 villages and 13 valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region. Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner, spreads out protectively over the national park at 3,798 metres.

Ten exhibition rooms await you in the National Park Worlds in Mittersill, from the 3D cinema to the formation of the Alps and the world of glaciers. Find out everything you need to know about the largest protected area in the Alps. Experience the unique alpine adventure world around Austria's highest peak (Großglockner, 3,798 m) and other three-thousand metre peaks, over 342 glaciers and one of the world's mightiest waterfalls under one roof. In ten adventure stations, which lead from one natural area to the next as if on a hike through the national park, you get to know and understand the extraordinary diversity.
